This year, I've started on the Star Wars McQuarrie series action figures. These are pre Star Wars movie figures modeled after the concept art of Ralph McQuarrie and they are really nice looking. I wasn't into collecting them at first since I missed a few earlier ones and thought I would have a hard time collecting all 9 or so but I stumbled on a few figures (Darth Vader!) for sale and decided to get it. So far I have 3, Darth Vader, a Rebel Trooper and Han Solo, the last of which I just picked up yesterday at Pyramid when we went with the Loos to J.Co for donuts.
I've also started on the Saga Collection series but that looks like it has just a few figures and no news about whether they are releasing any more different figures. Marie bought me the Han Solo (different from the series above) for Christmas and now I have to buy Luke Skywalker, a Snowtrooper (only 1!) and 2 Bounty Hunters (which I got this week). Thanks allot Marie!
The McQuarrie Series are the ones in blue and the Saga Collection in black.
