It's time again for another dream! Last weekend I had a very interesting dream. What made this one interesting was the sheer level of Hollywoody-ness--all very clear and crisp almost movie-like but without the weird 'originality' of my other dreams.
So here we go. I was some sort of a civilian astronaut (if there is such a thing) accompanying another random dream person who was probably another sort of astronaut. But he was military I think. We were on a mission along with hundreds of others on the maiden flight of a space ship. You know, leaving earth to explore space and such. So we're on the ship, there's a cocktail party in celebration of the whole blastoff event. My 'friend' was in ceremonial military uniform, a blue suit with some some shiny badges above his right and left pockets. He was tall, good looking but he looked a little like a politician. I didn't fully trust him I guess, but what can you do, he's a mate.
Suddenly, before we blasted off into hyperspace and said our goodbyes and all that, the earth was engulfed by some sort of unknown calamity. There were explosions, diseases and news of horrible things going on down there that the captain decided it was best to jet out above the atmosphere to escape disaster and return when we had further information on what was going on. Much like Battlestar Galactica and to a lesser extent Super-Dimension-Fortress Macross. So we're off into space and my subconscious (I cannot spell this word without the spellchecker :P) paints me a series of very nice space views. :)
