Chinese New Year 2009

I am glad Chinese New Year is over. It's not my favourite time of the year at all.

Since I sent in my Baby-G for a battery replacement that is turning out to be a month+ wait for a washer substitute, I went looking for another watch. A dressier one that I can wear for more 'serious' occasions. Recently Joe's gotten me on a automatic itch and I ran into a Seiko 5 at PK Time at OU. There was something special about it among the vast array of watches. I didn't buy it on impulse since Joe pointed me out to an entry-level Tissot. The Seiko was a steal at RM300, more than double the Tissot and I do so like getting pretty things that look more expensive than it actually is.

I went home after getting the watch and googled the line just to find out more about it and it looks like quite a respectable watch. Joe says a few watch collectors he knows including Dan have been getting in on the Seiko 5 action as well. Oh no, something extra to collect.
