Muddy Waters

I dreamt last night I was in a swamp. There was a snake on my thigh the size of an earthworm. Actually it was more knee-deep in a muddy pool. My mother was there with me. A tree was blocking our path and for some stupid reason I didn't want to dive under a branch to get over it. I didn't want to get wet from the knee up. Also there were little snakes in the water. I guess I didn't want to be bitten on the nose.

The tiny snake was black with deep red stripes on its head and body. When my mother disappeared it sunk its tiny fangs into my thigh.

Then I woke up and I couldn't get back to sleep thinking about the probability of there being a giant mother snake being in the dream.
