Voter Registration

Ok, so I didn't register to vote yesterday. The post office was too far from lunchtime ranges and it's been kinda hot lately lar, even for me. But yesterday, I found that the Mutiara Damansara branch opens till 6pm so I went there today.

Yup, I'm a registered voter! I can now use my ONE vote to swing the authorities my way! Should I buy in to the highest bidder, forsaking all interests for economic growth despite corrupt politicians-in-bed-with-big-business practices? Or should do the idealist's thing and vote for the opposition just to give them a hand? Oh the power muahahaha!

One vote!!!

Anyone thinking of doing the same, it's really quite easy:

  • You go to the post office, take a number for the 'pelbagai' service counter
  • Tell the counter staff you want to 'daftar untuk mengundi'
  • Give him/her your IC
  • They punch in the details, confirm your religion (strange) then they print out a form with your details
  • You check it and sign it
  • You get a copy of the form and finish.

It's also free, which makes sense since you shouldn't have to pay the ruling government to exercise your duty to vote the opposition hahahaha.
