2 indie bands from Sweden played at the KLPac last night, as part of their Asian tour. I took Kevin and Keith and it was a blast. Had to leave Sloo out of this one. Sorry, it's 18 and above only. Yea it's full of bad people drinking beer, smoking and trying to enlist you to sign up to be a supporter of the Tiger Football Club. Nasty right?
The supporting acts were Ferns and Couple. My brother who had left Ferns came back to play the set. We arrived a bit late due to bad traffic and erm some Star Wars action figures shopping (just me, Jusco was on sale).
Club 8 was the first of the feature acts. The lead singer is hawt and confirms the fact that all Swedish women are hawt. Must go to Sweden! However, I did think her dress looked like it was sewn out of Ikea curtains. Not that it looked bad though. The band's sound is a very delicate sort of indie. Really nice to chill out to but after half an hour I kinda wanted them to like rock out, which they did during the encore when the guitarist (right on the photos) took over.
Yup, I'm going to have to grow myself a beard and buy me a pair of suspenders. :)
The other feature act was Pelle and I'm not sure if that's the name of the lead singer (probably) or the name of the band but one of the guitarist and the bassist from Club 8 stayed to play. They have a very jangly acoustic pop sound and the lyrics were straight forward and smart ass-like. After the show we had Ramly burgers and spotted 2 rabbits when I dropped Keith off. Apparently they are pets left to roam at night and in the morning. I took a photo.
